Arthur Weier Seebart wrote the definitive Seebart family history of its time. Begun in the mid-1950’s and based largely on his interviews with family members, his work is invaluable for the character sketches he captured.

His book was released to the family in the 1970’s, long before the internet—and easily available research tools—were available. This history updates many of the basic facts, both for the family and individuals. But the characters he captured would have otherwise been lost to time.
