Edward Seebart was, by all accounts, an intelligent and inquisitive individual. Unfortunately, however, he was not afforded the opportunity of an education.

During his lifetime, he recorded snippets of text ranging over a wide variety of topics: family history, geology and local lore dominate his writings. He published these thoughts, organized randomly, sometime in the 1960’s.

Much of his writings reveal more about him and his character than anything else, but here and there he recorded documents, relationships and stories about the Seebart Family’s pioneer experience in the upper Midwest. They are raw—unique—and offer a glimpse into a life most could not imagine

Ed’s original book is offered here in PDF format (placeholder). An edited version—not an easy task—will also be (eventually) available.
